What we are praying about during COVID 19

The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

(Numbers 6:24–26)

Praises:
  1. We are grateful that LaRae still has a job, she is working from a classroom still, but does all her classes online. Her students have scattered all over the world! Boaz has been working as a substitute teacher,  but with the advent of COVID, he no longer has work. He has been helping our kids with their online classes and has been trying to help LaRae where possible. He still has one student that he tutors in the evenings. God is good.
  2. We are grateful that LaRae's problems with Staph have not been as bad for the last few months. She has not had major problems with her legs as in the past. She still has slight issues and can feel that things are not 100%, but thankfully she has not been in pain as before.
  3. The whole family goes to school with LaRae each day. We have been privileged to work out of the Dakar Academy campus near our home. We walk to school each day and take over an unused classroom. Each of the kids has their own school computer. If we had to stay at home it would be expensive with all the internet we have to use for their classes.
  4. Our second home during COVID 19
  5. We are grateful that so far we do not have to have a complete quarantine. We walk the dog at least twice a day and walking to school helps as well. Many of our friends are stuck at home all the time, so we are grateful for a little bit of flexibility.

Prayer Requests:
  1. Bashir has been having some health issues. We pray that he will be healed and that we can find out the best solution to help him.
  2. Though LaRae has not had the awful sores on her legs as before she still has not had the best health. She is often tired and physically uncomfortable. Please pray for her health and continued strength.
  3. With this whole COVID thing going on we have been thinking more seriously about moving to the country. We have for a while wanted to move out of the city so that the kids can space to play and we can have a garden etc. We are praying that if God wants this to happen He will show us the right place and will show us how we can use our new place to help His work.
  4. If we were to move to the country we are not sure about how to go about homeschooling the children. We are praying that God will give us a solution to this problem. We have been working in education for the last few years, but see a need to get back to our roots in Public Health. We are thankful that God has an answer.
  5. We are praying that another family with handy skills would decide that God is calling them to come to Senegal to work with us. We are wanting to build, create, and teach ourselves and others. Boaz has realized that he is an ideas person and needs a friend to help put the ideas into reality. Life is about sharing strengths, God knows the right family who would fit in with ours.
  6. We have been giving out books to friends and neighbors. Please pray with us that those who have received the books that they will read them and be blessed by them. Also that we will be lead to give books to others who would benefit from them.
