Changes afoot

Praises:

  1. We are grateful for how God has lead us over the past few years in Lebanon. We have made many new friends, learned some new skills, visited some amazing places and most importantly saw God at work.
  2. We are thankful for good health. LaRae has had some health issues, but has been able to see some specialists and we have already started to see some positive changes.
  3. We are thankful for how we have been blessed in Lebanon. We have had a good car, nice apartment, friends and the list could go on, God is has been good to us. Our youngest was born here and she has been a huge blessing.
  4. We are so thankful how God gave us work with the church as we were able to pay off our school loans in 2015. What a blessing it is to have our loans paid off so that now are debt free and to better serve in God's vineyard.

Prayer Requests:
  1. We are in the process of transitioning away from working for the church to self supporting work. As we think of leaving friends and the comforts of working for the church we are saddened. Yet we are repeatedly reminded that God is leading us in this next step. As we have talked over the various reasons for going we see God's hand in this move and are praying for His continued guidance and help.
  2. We are still in the process of trying to adopt Lika, a little girl who was a part of our family for two years in Senegal. Because of laws in Senegal making it difficult to adopt if you already have children we were unable to take her with us to Lebanon. We ask for prayers as we continue to look for ways in which the process can move along smoothly so that she can eventually live with us.
  3. LaRae has had some staphylococcus issues in her legs. This was a serious problem when we lived in Senegal and has developed into a problem recently. She has been seeing a doctor and is starting to take medication, but still needs prayer.
  4. Up until now we have worked for the church and have been blessed by a good salary and health and travel benefits. Now that we are leaving organized church work to start a self supporting project in Senegal, this is going to change. We can see God leading and are walking forward in faith, praying that He will supply our needs.
  5. Starting a new project is not easy. We need prayer that we will do the project that God wants us to be doing in Senegal. We could go many different directions and we have plenty of our own ideas, but the most important thing is to be within His will and not doing our own thing.
