Praying for healing

And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!

The New King James Version (2 Timothy 4:18).

Praises:
  1. LaRae and the kids visited the Casamance region of Senegal for two weeks to see friends, middle L's family. Their trip was a blessing as they were able to help with planting, breath fresh air, see dolphins, and experience rain. Middle L ate like a champion and was so happy to see her old stomping grounds. Little B enjoyed hiking in the forest with his local friends as they followed the cows of our friends. He even tried out a local plant that dyes your hair red for a few days. They are now all back in Dakar safe and sound. Though they miss the peace of village life.
  2. The day LaRae returned to Dakar she had to work! One of her student's mothers called and asked if she could start tutoring. Never a dull moment around here, but happy for some income and a chance to touch another life.
  3. GLOW tracks in French!
  4. Boaz had to stay in Dakar to help with some Stop Smoking meetings and a mini evangelistic meeting. Though his heart and mind were in the south, he was busy working to help our local church do ministry. The meetings were a source of learning and growth.
  5. We now have keys to a new apartment! We will be moving just two doors down and have already started to move things into our new place. We still have a few things to finish up before we really move in earnest, but things are moving forward. This new place will allow us to have a classroom in our home, which will be a huge blessing. Also, the building will not be under construction like our current home, another major blessing!
  6. During this time Boaz was able to pick up the first GLOW tracks printed in Senegal. We were able to get these with the help of our friends at the MENA Union, what a blessing to have helpful friends! In this first printing, we did 1,000 of each the eight topics that we have access to in French. We hope to print more in time and to expand the topics offered. Getting these GLOW tracks printed has been a dream come true.
  7. Boaz used his free time to edit a few videos for our Youtube channels. We hope to upload videos from the time we used to live in Senegal as well as new content. If you haven't seen the videos here are the links to our two channels.  Our personal channel, a channel for church-related videos.
  8. With the help of friends and family, we have been helping to sponsor our friend Jean Sambou in his studies in the Philippines. We just got word that he will be able to finish his last two classes this coming semester and will be returning to Senegal to work with us in December or January.
Prayer Requests:
Our church's lambs offering
to build a new church
  1. Please pray that as we move to our new place that it will be a true blessing to our neighbors and to those who come to study with us. May we be able to find students to teach and teach them with love and understanding.
  2. Pray with us that we can be patient parents. Our three little ones are rather typical I'm sure, but it can be a bit taxing with the fighting and complaining that goes on. Pray that we can find ways to touch their hearts and help them to love each other.
  3. Our little church is working to raise money for a new church. We have so far raised a little over $260. We have a long way to go but are stepping forward in faith. If you know of anyone who might like to help us with this project we would be happy to hear from you. :) Our church needs to be in a new location to be a better witness and closer to where most of our members live.
  4. Boaz will be attending a leadership seminar in Europe. Please pray with us that he will learn a lot and be able to meet with the right people to best help the work that we are doing here.
  5. LaRae has been suffering from boils the last few months. These boils have been physically debilitating and affected her ability to function at her best. She has done tests, gone to see doctors, taken medication, etc, sadly they still keep coming back. She is starting, as of the day this blog is posted, a totally raw food and juice diet. Thanks so much for your prayer for her health and courage as she goes through this very trying time. Please pray that the rest of the family will be understanding of her needs and helpful.
